A warehouse in South Miami will make you sweat with a high intensity workout but will make you stay because you found a place of community. M*Ergy Fitness is more than a workout, it’s an experience. The studio offers four classes: indoor cycling, high intensity interval training (HIIT), and two classes that combine the two formats. Owner Maria Sentmanat, knows a thing or two about fitness in Miami. Sentmanat has been an instructor in Miami teaching both cycling and HIIT formats for years, before opening up M*Ergy Fitness in Fall of 2017.The combined indoor cycling and HIIT classes: 30/30 and M*Ergy HIIT are truly unique. 30/30 combines high-intensity cycling for 30 minutes of cardio with 30 minutes of toning and strengthening from TRX and Kettlebell exercises. M*Ergy HIIT takes the 30/30 classes and kicks it up a notch my shortening the intervals between cycling and functional moves to keep the heart rate up for the entire class. What makes M*Ergy different from HIIT and indoor cycling studios? The workout is more than just transforming the body, Sentmanat is dedicated to transforming the mindset of clients. “M*ergy Fitness became my vehicle to make an impact in other people’s lives. I look to not only improve your physical health, but improve the emotional and spiritual side as well,” Sentmanat tells STAY FIT 305.It may seem strange to see a fitness studio without any mirrors, but that's by design. “I want clients to feel a sense of purpose when they workout. I want them to not only understand the effects it has on the body physically, but the power working out can have on the mind. My clients turn inward when they workout to dig deeper”, says Sentmanat.M*Ergy is a fitness experience and Sentmanat truly is an inspiring instructor.
