The City of Fort Lauderdale is now accepting applications for a FIT Permit. Offered through the Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation, this permit allows certified, approved instructors the opportunity to teach outdoor fitness and exercise classes at select parks in the city.

The application fee for the permit is $5 and there is an annual fee of $15.

While every city has different rules around obtaining permits for outdoor fitness, some general rules include leaving the park as you found it - no litter! - and avoiding areas specifically dedicated for another use, like playgrounds and dog parks.
