Miami Yoga Garage opened a new location in Wynwood and are celebrating their grand opening this Saturday, December 4 with a full schedule of free events. Learn more about the studio below.

The experience:

Miami Yoga Garage is an Ashtanga Yoga studio, and one of the oldest in Miami, with their previous South Beach location having been open 15 years. Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldman, founders of Miami Yoga Garage, have been serving the Miami yoga community for many years and their practice is rigorous, leaving students feeling stronger and less stressed. Miami Yoga Garage offers guided classes like most other studios, but specializes in ‘Mysore Style’ which is an unguided format where the teacher gives each student a personalized practice.

What makes Miami Yoga Garage unique:

"Miami Yoga Garage is unique because it’s not just a work out, it’s a work in," said Senior Teacher Joseph Armstrong. "You will be physically challenged for sure, but you’ll also gain powerful insights about yourself along the way."

You should also know:

"Yoga often starts with getting the body healthy and strong and from there many other benefit can develop. Regular practice is a cure for everything from illness, the aches and pains of aging to loneliness," said Armstrong. "Keeping up your practice is easier when supported by community, also known as sangha. The support students receive from their teachers and classmates is a powerful, even transformative, thing."

Why members love it:

Members love that the method allows for personalized attention. Every student gets one-on-one with the teaching during the Mysore style classes, helping them reach their goals faster.

The extras:

The new location has been meticulously and lovingly designed. There are several practice spaces as well as a filming studio for online classes led by MacGregor. There are also showers and changing rooms to make it easier for students to take the time to practice during their busy days. Lastly, they are home to an incredible Latin American concept store called The One Who Travels Store.

How to join in:

There are a wide range of membership options. Drop-ins, class packs and unlimited memberships are all available. Their current promotion is the best in Miami - 30 days for $30. They encourage you to come try the new space and take unlimited classes for the best price around for the first month.
