"Saving theworld one scoop at a time" is painted on the wall outside of Nabati as anintroduction to their values. This plant-based and plastic-free ice cream shopcelebrated their grand opening on August 2 and aims to be a guilt-free, healthytreat for both humans and the planet.

Founder Ola Kayal isa vegan chef who originally created Nabati, which means "plant-based"in Arabic, as a project for the culinary school she attended in Switzerland. When given the opportunity to open the first plant-based ice cream shop in Miamifollowing her graduation, she took the chance. After years of testing, she hasfound herself able to redefine ice cream.

There is nothing tohide at Nabati. All of the ice cream is produced in-house using a combinationof cashews and coconut, and sweetened with natural ingredients like dates andmaple syrup. There are no stabilizers or chemicals used and the base of the icecream is mixed with natural ingredients to create original flavors.

And for a smallshop, they are big on flavor. There are over 15 flavors at any one time, likebanana pecan, apple granola, and golden scoop (turmeric and ginger). Someflavors are blended with CBD for a little extra chill. The menu isever-changing and Nabati welcomes suggestions for future flavors.  In addition to the ice cream, there aredifferent toppings available as well as cones that are also baked in-house -all of which are also organic, soy-free, gluten-free, refined-sugar free, anddairy-free like the ice cream.

While highlight ofthe shop is the ice cream, Nabati also has smoothies, bakery items, and coffeeon their menu. Kayal and Nabati also love hosting events and being a creativespace for the community. They welcome artist collaborations, showcases, and pop-upsrelated to their vegan and sustainable missions.
