YO BK Studio Opens This Month at Oasis Wynwood

YO BK is opening its third location, and first in Miami, this month at Oasis in Wynwood after weeks of free outdoor classes. This Brooklyn-based boutique studio was founded in 2015 and specializes in hot yoga and hot Pilates.

YO BK will be offering a variety of classes will the goal to provide students with a place that meets all their fitness needs while guaranteeing a great, sweaty workout. To make this happen, the new Miami facility offers state-of-the-art infrared heating, bi-polar HVAC ionization and a disco ball because that is the YO BK difference – a party within a workout!

“I believe our classes, which are equal parts fun, challenging and accessible, will be met with excitement here," says Founder Katie Durand. "In particular I can’t wait to introduce Inferno Hot Pilates, which is a party within a workout with energetic music, club lighting and a disco ball."

One of YO BK’s most popular classes, Inferno Hot Pilates, focuses on a set of high-intensity exercises to strengthen and tone your body while elevating your heart rate in a heated room. Classes offered at the Wynwood location range from Inferno Hot Pilates (HIIT), Bikram Yoga, Power Vinyasa Yoga and Yin, ensuring a workout style for any type of student.

“YO BK is about so much more than physical exercise – it’s a home away from home for our students to challenge and get to know themselves better,” says Durand.

Durand made the decision to expand YO BK to Wynwood because the neighborhood matched the energy and progressiveness that they had in Brooklyn. The layout and design are also reminiscent of the Brooklyn locations by keeping both comfort and elegance in mind, staying true to the original YO BK style. The new studio displays the original industrial ceilings of their factory space at Oasis and features graffiti throughout for a modern touch that’s welcoming and warm.

Showers will be available to YO BK. Additionally, guests will also have access to its partnered all day cafe, Novela Social, from the owners of Gotan NYC.
